Our story

A family table in downtown Bozeman

More than twenty years of house-made comfort food, lively banter, and making strangers feel like regulars.

Since 2002

The Cateye Café family

The Cateye Café is a family-owned business creating house-made comfort food. Kevin, Mama T (aka Tina), their son Taylor, and daughter Kelsey and her husband Matt Shepperd make everyone feel like they are at home.

Don’t expect the ordinary. Expect toy drawers at every table, eclectic art, country music, great home fries, real biscuits and gravy, and Grandma’s famous Ginger Bread too — plus a sassy waitstaff who remember how you take your coffee.

As seen in Bon Appétit, Food Network, Bicycling magazine, and many more. Think local. Think fresh. Think Cateye.

Why the cats

Kitschy at the café. Elegant when it counts.

The café is an eclectic array of cat themes — warm, quirky, unforgettable. For weddings and private events we keep the soul and turn up the polish: a licensed full bar, trained bartenders, and simple packages.
